Just The Right Way To Make Sure The Diet Plan Is Working- Appetite Suppressants

May 1, 2013

The feeling of hunger is physical phenomenon but is completely controlled by the brain. If the levels of serotonin and catecholamine are increased in the brain, it will think that it is full or not hungry. These two neurotransmitters are the ones that can immensely effect the mood and the hunger of the person. This finding paved the way for the revolutionary treatment for obesity and other problems faced by people due to excessive weight- appetite suppressants.

Appetite suppressant drugs are usually in the form of tablets that are prescribed to people who suffer from obesity and other weight problems and cannot get rid of it by any other method like exercise, nutrition, physical activity etc. These are tablets that are taken for a short period (generally for 12 weeks- depending from person to person) of time to aid in the process of weight loss.

How this works:
Appetite suppressant pills are a combination of strong ingredients that work on neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are the chemical messengers present in the brain that effect the mood and the sensation of hunger. These pills increase the levels of serotonin that tricks the brain into thinking that the body is not hungry or it is full and therefore not generating the sensation of hunger and cravings for carbohydrates and fatty foods.

When a person is suffering from obesity, it is very likely that he/she has the wrong eating habits. One has got to be a foodie to put on extra weight in normal circumstances. When they try to control their eating habits and go on a diet, it is not just a physically straining task where the person feels weak and giddy, but also an entire psychological trauma that they go through trying to curb their hunger and also killing their wishes of eating all the junk that caused them to put on all the extra weight that there is on their body.

Tricking the brain into thinking that it is not hungry or craving makes it much easier for a person to control their eating habits because then a person is at a mental state where he does not want it at all, the stress and the dissatisfaction is eliminated. It is proven by many institutes that these tablets are not addictive unless a person over does it, also do not cause many side effects (short term or long term) on the body or the person using it. It is also proven that people have lost weight considerable faster by the use of these of these pills along with diet control and minimal exercise.

Most of these pills are not available over the counter due to the regulations set by the state, as it is indirectly a psychotropic drug, but is easily available on prescriptions at almost all drug stores.
